Don't think there's any real rivalry, but I do know they tried to raid the crew of SYTYCD a couple of years ago. A few of my friends jumped ship... have no clue why, however.

That's the plan for August, but I might have to delay that because of filming here. We'll see.

I love watching this show. Very impressive to see how fast some of these people pick up the different styles of dancing it's really amazing.

To be fair, most of the contestants are already professional dancers. It's not like AI in which they're largely struggling amateurs.

But I still like SYTYCD much better than AI.

Heh... I've often complained about the camera work on the show, believe it or not. I'm under the impression that it's going to improve now that the crew no longer has to film American Idol, as well.

But, that blogger is so full of shit, it's hilarious. The Canadian version's crap, too... and that first clip was worse than a lot of what I've seen on the US version.

I watched this show the first season, and don't know why I ever stopped. I've fixed this by starting this season. :) Looking forward seeing them perform new routines.

If this show had been around when I was in my twenties I would have definitely given it a shot, although I was never great at choreography.

I took Ballet for years, came within a hairs breath of being admitted to the National Ballet of Canada school and I did Tap but my personal style was Modern Dance. (aka contemporary)

Go for it! There is nothing sexier to a woman than a man who can move on the dance floor. Plus it's a lot of fun, great way to meet girls and if you take up partner dancing well you get to hold them all too!

I started lindy hop a few years ago and just loved it. It was fun to get to partner with 20 different guys in a night. Plus it's a great way to get an aerobic work out too!

I finally got to watch the show where they selected the top 20. It's interesting to see how a bad/pissy mood on behalf of the judges affects their decision making. Also how if you chat up how good a dancer is, how much that plays against them. You'd think Mary would learn to keep her mouth shut next time so as not to set up future dancers for that kind of retarded behaviour from the judges.

I'd rather Mary kept her mouth shut permanently. She may be good for a live audience, but she's horrible for television.

Whew... if Kaitlin would've went home, I'd have quit watching.

And, sorry, but that group routine sucked.
