There, RaiDa... put your spoilers here.
By the way, I looked for a previous
Primeval thread, but couldn't find one, so don't be trolling me for starting a new one if an old one does, in fact, exist.

Well a major spoiler is
Abi's brother comes to stay with her and as she can't tell him that Rex is one of a kind he uses it to cover a gambling debt and its up to Conner to get it back without showing Abi what a tool here brother is, next week it looks like he causes more trouble for the team as he ends up in the future, and it fairly obvious that the giant bat creatures have taken over becuse it looks like the action takes place in a ruined London.

I am impressed that the show got much better in S3.
It is still cheesy television, but it reminds me of early 1970 adventure shows.
If they were sellin glittle plastic toys tied in with this, then it would really have taken off.

What series are they on? The first series is awesome... second series starts getting a bit muddled... the third's premiere was not so good.

No. That's what Connor's for. And I can't really stand him, either. But Connor, at least, is convincing in his role. Becker is not. Not even close.

Spoliers, highlight to read.
The team have to stop Helen Cutter from stopping the evolution of Mankind in Africa, which means a chase through various times for the team as they try to stop her, they have a bit of a disadvantage though as Helen has a machine which can track where all the anomalies are and can open them.

I think they moved the finale to next Saturday.
Also, it is possible that he American version would be a "spin off" and not a remake, which might not suck as badly.
The idea of other governments engaging in "anomaly research" makes sense.

I don't mind the concept, but British TV has the advantage that its audience is willing to put up with cheap FX. An American version isn't going to have that luxury... and that's going to lead to massive problems. Does anybody really want the

That has always been a problem for UK shows, then again most of our shows are better written than US ones and they are prepared to go further with a storyline than US shows do ie Life On Mars The UK version ends with the lead putting himself back into a coma / or commiting sucide to go back to the past, In the US version they have him stuck in a VR machine.

British TV is no better than American TV. And their shows definitely don't "push storylines farther" since, with shorter seasons, they don't have to.
The BBC is more free to address things in a more mature way than American network TV is, yes, and the point about the two versions of Life on Mars is relevant, but American non-network TV can and does do the same.
Primeval, using the on-topic example, would've been canceled in America by now, because it's just not good enough.
