A-Team meets hustle as a band of criminals start to rob powerful criminals who exploit the helpless.

Yes, and it has Lindsay in it...from Angel.
I thought the premise looked promising.

Well, at least it's on TNT... The way things are going, nowadays, F*X or any of the majors would cancel it as soon as it hit the airwaves.

It does look interesting-surprisingly so.
It's becoming clearer as the networks start retreating from day after day that all the really interesting SF,fantasy and off-beat stuff like Leverage is going to come more and more from non-network sources.
And,as long as we get plenty of it,that's certainly okay with me :)
Best wishes,
Scott

[Leverage video clip]
Yech... No thanks... They ripped sounds off of Star Trek TNG, and the rest looks like a bad conglomeration of A-Team (mentioned above), Mission: Impossible, and maybe like, uh, Get Smart. (Well, ok, not really "Get Smart", but still...)
This is the best that TNT can come up with? I'm glad JMS no longer has to associate with them.

The dialog is a bit stilted.
But, it is good cheesy fun.
If you like Burn Notice then this show might be in that style as well.

Never heard of it. But then again, for the umpteenth time, I don't watch television.

That's exactly how I took it. I'm sure I'll watch and get some chuckles. Anything besides reality tv for me, thanks!
I do enjoy Burn Notice so.

So far, so good. Room for improvement, but think it should develop nicely.

I had enjoyed the pilot, but I sensed the leftist tilt of the main writer and I suppose co-creator of the show coming through.
I don't want to see a damn thing in Leverage that reminds me of one of the writer's political blog posts.
If I see more or the typical Bush-hating leftist loon "message television" creep in the the show, then I will not be able to suffer through it.

Jeez.
Strangely, the world does not revolve around your politics.
The pilot was a scream!!
Verry MI... but I gotta say it... Firefly!!
"
"We're not thieves, well, we are thieves, but the point is... we're not takin' what's his..."
IF... you were conscious during the entire show... the point wasn't politics, but AGAIN!!!! Thievin'!
A portion of a company using the company to do evil deeds is ... just business.. in some quarters. I know personally a couple of frauds, embezzlers, and miscreants that used different entities to mask their wickid deeds.
Damn... I LOVED the plot... the twists... and the recovery time bein' instantaneous... well, that is just hilarious.
"What does that make us?"
"Big Damn Heroes, sir"
"Ain't we just."
I look VERY forward to re-watching this eps... and anticipating the next ones.... Is it sunday yet?

Jeri Ryan is set to recur on TNT's "Leverage."
On the sophomore drama about a group of vigilaties in pursuit of bringing down bigwigs, she will play Tara, a smart-ass, street-wise con woman whom Sophie (Gina Bellman) calls on for help and who gets sucked into the Leverage family.
Joy!
Returned to US television 15JUL09.

So, you and HOC should be thrilled to see the return of buxom to the screen... I'm delighted to see her working, cause I like her in front of the camera-- but she does do good work behind, as well.

It's a good show- but I really like HUSTLE as it is a thinking show with complex elements in it (plus Robert Vaughn & one kick-ass chick)!
The villains are much more sophisticated on HUSTLE than on BURN NOTICE or LEVERAGE, both both are still fun to watch.
Bruce Campbell makes BURN NOTICE & hopefully Jeri Ryan will really make LEVERAGE outstanding this season! :)

Ok-- but we ARE seeing him battle the demons- his drinking, his need for revenge seems to be one of them... so, if he works with the team, he gives in to one. May have to let go of the other...(the attraction to Sophie--)
I'm fascinated the way this one came together... really, is it 'fate'? What else would have put him (Nathan) at the right place, at the right time, eh?
