I'm really not a big fan of the show, although I've recently started watching it - "recently" meaning the last three or four episodes - and I must confess that I'm intrigued by what I've seen. There's also no thread for Lost around here. C'mon, Lost fans, I know you exist on this board!

So: what did y'all think of tonight's ep? Spoilers follow below, so beware --

1. Ben confuses me. I've seen very little of the show's past seasons, save for a few Season 1 eps when the show first started, so I don't really know where he fits in. His behavior around Juliet is a bit stupid, if you ask me - I mean, she seems perfectly capable of handling him if he goes off his rocker once he finds out about Jack. No harmless, defenseless flower, is Juliet. Hello?!

2. Met Mr. Whitmore in the last episode, and I have to wonder what his reasons are for picking the people he did to go to the island? What exactly is his connection with Ben? Is he really the head of the folks on the boat?

3. The expression on Sawyer's face when he saw Ben walking around the compound was fucking hilarious.

4. Finally! Locke is being reasonable. He's been acting like he's got a stick up his ass since I saw him a few episodes back.

I was wondering the whole day if Lost had fans here.
Pondered two or three times starting the thread....

RhiGirl: I really recommend you to watch this show from the beggining it IS very rewarding if you watch in order..there are some rough spots here an there, but when you watch this series sans-interruptions it really shines.

I will not discuss your points tonight since I missed this episode due to work. But I will get back as soon as a I watch it...

abc.com has every single episode from season 1 to season 3 available for free hd streaming...again I recommend you start catching up...

Oooh. I'll do just that, then. I do have the first season on DVD, but BSG has always been my top favorite show to watch. And, well, it's not airing right now, so...

Thanks, Leo!

I started watching TV again due to Alias. I watched season 1 and season 2 on DVD and saw season 3 on broadcast. The show started to decline during that season when Lost started. JJ Abrahams created Alias and since he started producing Lost you could make a correlation with Alias' dip in quality and the introduction of Lost. I was resentful and never watched Lost because I felt the existence and popularity of that show was killing the Alias I loved.

When Alias ended on such a downer note, I called it quits with TV, until a year ago I decided to give BSG a try! I downloaded every single episode from "not official sources."

I was instantly hooked and in less than a month I was catching up with season 3. I ordered the DVD's and hooked all my co workers and close friends with it.
When the hiatus started, a close friend of mine (who was as hooked with Lost as I am with BSG) told me since I spoiled his life with BSG (he loved it) I had to break my anti-Lost stance and watch it. My brother also took upon on telling me to watch the show when he caught up with BSG. It was hiatus so I took the plunge....I do not regret it at all...Like I said before this series is tailor made for DVD and I think in a way is a good companion to BSG regarding examining how humans tend to interact with each other and their social constructs vis a vis "disasters." Right now BSG is my favorite "American produced" TV show and Lost is coming in a close second. And now I am rediscovering great killed TV shows like Firefly and getting into British produced TV like Doctor Who, Torchwood, Secret Diary of a Call Girl and Spooks (MI-5 in the states).

Anyway, I tell you this long story to illustrate that spending time with Lost during hiatus is probably a good idea and then you will have this season two shows to look forward to..something I think is just awesome...

I think it is pretty obvious by now who the "man on the boat is."

The question is not who, but Why??

Thank you, Leo. :) My b/f introduced me to BSG, although I resisted watching it after the mini and didn't start getting addicted until "Home Part II" from Season Two. After that, I was gone. Perhaps things will progress the same way with Lost.

I just want to note, that after tonight's episode (4x08 Meet Kevin Johnson) I have this fact to report:

Lists are for Ben Linus as airlocks are for Laura Roslin...
