It took 3 weeks, but the Detroit Lions finally managed to break out of their wining streak! They lost so bad, that several adjectives were invented over the course of the game to describe how poorly they played. You would think that scoring 21 points would be a decent offensive production. But, when your opponent score 56 points...
Ok, let's be realistic here. You are probably gonna lose some time. Even the better teams lose once in a while. The funny thing, or sad thing, is the way the sports writers around here jumped on them, like cheetahs on a wounded gazelle. I know it's been a long time since we've had a winning team. I know it's fun to pick on them (guilty), but frankly, I'm getting tired of the bad attitude. Well, it doesn't help when the other teams in your division are winning, but hey, we're still 2-1 on the young season. It can happen! If Detroit can keep their focus, they have a chance at winning the division and making the playoffs. I mean, the other teams in our division are not notably terrific teams. As long as Detroit has a better than average season, we coudl surprise some people and maybe we'll be seeing them playing while most of the other teams hav ehit the golf courses (or whatever it is that football players do in the off-season).
