This looks pretty epic, rather like a bigger Apocalypto. I love the mammoths.

Well I don't think being pretty would get you very far against mammoths.

Wow... they just mascred the neolithic revolution now we'll hear how Saber Tooth Tigers and Mammoths were used as guard dogs and tanks in mighty armies of the ancient days! I hate when filmmakers don't things historically correct it only serves to detract from the power of film.

No, I'm not... I'm honest... If you're going to do a film about people in the year 10,000bce make it realistic or just don't touch the subject because you're only doing historians and museums a disservice when stupid parents bring their kids to that movie and they don't find it that way in the hitstory books and museums on field trips our culture looks stupid.

Would you call Vitto DeSica a stick in the mud... He was the greatest of the Italian Neo-Realists? I'm just a realist. Besides you can tell a great story about how tribes of men and women slaughtered each with sticks and stones...

Dayum! Looks like a great, mindless mash-up of "Quest for Fire" and "The Ten Commandments."
Yup, they compressed the historical record to a point at which it generates fusion energy, but, if I turn my mind off, I might could enjoy this one.

10,000 B.C.Thanks for posting that link Ms. Brit

I for one am looking forward to this movie...and I have enough of an imagination to suspend belief for the few hours the movie will encompass. And enough intelligence to research historical records if I wanted to know the facts. I understand that there are people (kids included) who view movies as reality...but I'm happy to say I'm not one of them.

Looks pretty good to me... but like T-bug, I know it is "only a movie"--- so, 2% archeology, 1% character, 97% hollywood.S'ok.

Man! I just realized! We're gonna be in Hawai'i when this comes out!
I guess I can take two hours out of two weeks on the Big Island to sit in the Prince Kuhio theater to watch it. Looks like it'll be worth it!
