Primarily, the fact that they have to film the episodes before they air them. But they are sitting on them for a few months if this info is accurate.
I think we get S2 of Robin Hood around Sept07, and maybe the kid oriented "Sarah Jane Adventures" around then.

I enjoyed the first ep of season 2 very much.
It was nice to see Jack again, I didn't realise how much I had missed them all.
I was surprised at what Jack said to Gwen I had not sensed that she was that important to him in season one if anything I thought it was a little one sided on her part.
I loved how Gwen is prepared to give up her life for the city. No hesitation, just ready to do the right thing.
I love how they all work so well as a team. That they are there for each other.
The over the top sexuality had me laughing a few times. Like the car ride where Gwen says "it's a poodle" and Captain Harkness is still hot for it or when Captain Harkness suggested an orgy and Jones stops to consider it for a moment lol.

FACT: martha is only going to be on torchwood for 3 eps
GUESS:
owen's corpse is in cold storage for a lil bit and then gets revived in some scifiey way involving alien technology and possibly the rift.
lastly, i'd just like to say that i started watching torchwood s1 only because it had to do with doc who, and i continued on to s2 for the same reason... but honestly, s2 has been way better and i'm impressed and now i can say i actually like this show.

Yeah I think you're right on the guess.
I started watching because of the description they were giving it before it started: "A more adult version of Dr. Who" It was very disappointing last season, for me at least, but this season has been awesome! I especially liked Adam(2x05). That was a very interesting episode and I was trying to figure out who the hell he was and where he came from the whole time. I also liked how Tosh and Owen switched personalities. Hee. This last episode was a tad creepy, but YAYYYYY Martha!

And the stuff that I am sworn to secrecy about regarding the direction of the show, and potential changes are not something fans are likely to dig.

Martha will appear in the next DW season. Apparently there are only a few "movie" length specials for the DW 2009 season.

I didn't have any trouble following it. It seemed to flow well to me. I didn't understand the logic in evacuating the hospital though. The thing can appear in the Torchwood hidout it can pop back out of the hospital and get the folks outside. I also don't get why they would break lockdown to take her to the hospital and chance that death might escape.
All of them standing around looking for the glove instead of looking for things to destroy it with just made them look incompetent.
I really have to not think too much about those kinds of details though if I'm going to enjoy it.
Gwen saying goodbye to Owen I loved - it made me cry. Owen's speach to the little boy was wonderful
I can't imagine Owen not being able to shag anymore! LOL
Him being "dead" but "alive" adds a whole other element to Torchwood though.

The only thing I didn't get and others as well, was when Death broke out of Owen and it started crowding around Jack and then kind of lunged at him, then suddenly Jack wakes up in the SUV and they're outside of the hospital. That I don't get.

Yea I really liked this episode. I'm glad they are spending a little time on this and not just moving along like nothing happened. Him struggling to make coffee and being excluded by the group and the way it was eating him up not feeling useful and then the very thing that made him a liability in some ways worked totally to their advantage - no body heat. Him struggling with the other two people who were facing death in their own ways was also interesting.

Some bad news (I don't think it is "only a rumor") has gone public.
First off on Torchwood things are going to change massively. Leaving the show are Burn Gorman [Owen Harper], Naoko Mori [Toshiko] and John Barrowman [Captain Jack Harkness], though it is likely that Barrowman will return now and then as Captain Jack in a recurring capacity.
Joining the team as a full time member as of season 3 will be Freema Agyeman who will step in as Martha Jones and take over the day to day running of Torchwood from Captain Jack. Remaining with the show will be Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper.
Another big change for Torchwood is the format of the show. Up until now the series has been aimed at a more grown up audience, and has been sold as a Science Fiction series for adults. This has allowed it plenty of latitude with regards to sexual innuendos and humour. Some of the humour may stay, but it will be dumbed down somewhat so as not to alienate the younger audience members.
So the BBC television execs must have been hired from FOX.

That can't possibly be true. No person on earth would be dumb enough to get rid of 2 of the team members in one season AND the MAIN star of the show. I can't possibly see that happening. If it does, they are truly moronic.
That's bullshit. That just can't work. And the DW spoilers?! That's all seriously a joke? This can't possibly be true. It's not just that I would be completely outraged, it's the fact that it IS infact OUTRAGOUS! It doesn't make sense. It's a completely bad move and I really really can't see any of that being true. I think it's all total crap. Until I hear it from the mouths of those idiot producers themselves, I think I will take this news with a grain of salt. More outrageous clams have come from The Sun and that's just pathetic.

Don't assume that getting "rid of the cast" is something that the "decision makers" are deciding upon.
It could be that fickle actors want to move on.
Next year, we can either dig this up and laugh, or cry as DW goes into slumber again.

True the actors could want to leave, but they do have contracts, especially the lead. They aren't going to let him end that contract if they are smart. I'm pretty sure David Tennant also has killed rumors that said he was leaving many times and has said he wanted to be on as long as they would let him. It does seem like he'll be quite busy with Hamlet coming up, but that's why the 2009 season is meant to be a bit broken up and short. If he just wasn't coming back, they probably wouldn't even bother. They'd have him regenerate sooner.
I know that on TW one of the actors has already been set to go with the way his character has been written, but I can't see the other two and I definitely can't see the lead. That's ridiculous. The contracts wouldn't allow such a sudden cut. Everyone may be on for a year, but if the show is doing well they aren't going to sign a lead, important character for just a year, they would sign him for more to insure their stories can keep going. Remember, it's hard to kill off a main character, but quite easy to kill off non-important or less important ones.
