Just a place to rant and rave about our favorite and least favorite WW2 films.
To get started, some favs: Saving Private Ryan Grave of the Fireflies Valkyrie (not really a fave, but thoroughly underrated) Letters from Iwo Jima A Bridge Too Far (not the greatest film, but I have a personal bias regarding the subject matter) Battle of Britain (Michael Caine just gives legitimacy to everything) Some least favs: Windtalkers (absolute garbage) Pearl Harbor (an almost-decent movie pushed aside by a crap Danielle Steele homage) -------------------- I'd rather be a Commodore than the lower half of a Rear Admiral any day.
