Do you have the album of demo tracks from before "Boy?"
I think it was something like "Children of the Revolution" or something similar. I am pretty sure I have it in .flac among my U2 discography. -------------------- ![]() "Science is one cold hearted bitch with a 14 inch strap-on." |

Yeah, it was an EP called Three. Oddly enough, I worked with Bono's daughter on a movie and begged to get a copy. Never did. I don't think that is what I mean.
After overcoming laziness, and opening the DVD container in front of me and putting the DVD in, it is revealed to be U2 - Children Of The Revolution (The Early Demos) http://www.discogs.com/U2-Children-Of-The-.../release/810432 QUOTE Tracklisting: The First Demo, Keystone Studios Dublin, April 1978 1 Street Mission (4:22) 2 Shadows And Tall Trees (4:38) 3 The Fool (4:17) The Second Demo, Eamon Andrews Studios Dublin, December 1978 4 Lost On A Distant Planet (3:52) 5 Twilight (4:42) 6 Another Time, Another Place (4:46) 7 All In The Light (2:22) The Third Demo, Eamon Andrews Studions Dublin, May 1979 8 11 O Clock Tick Tock (3:46) 9 Touch (3:31) 10 Another Day (3:44) 11 The Dream Is Over (2:58) 12 Out Of Control (3:59) 13 Boy Girl (3:29) 14 Stories For Boys (2:47) 15 A Day Without Me (3:44) Bonus Tracks 16 Boy Girl (3:26) 17 Things To Make And Do (2:13) 18 J. Swallow (2:17) 19 I Will Follow (5:34) 20 Trash, Trampoline And Party Girl (2:32) 21 Two Hearts Beat As One (3:39) 22 Glad To See You (2:12) I don't think I have "Three" in this collection. I have seen a multi-disc Bono "solo" compilation that had The Call's "What's Happened To You" as well as the incredible "Sweet Fire of Love" from Robbie Robertson's first solo album on it. -------------------- ![]() "Science is one cold hearted bitch with a 14 inch strap-on." |

Ah, we're talking bootlegs. I can't say I have any bootlegged videos, but I have quite a few bootlegs... mostly of their post-Joshua Tree stuff. According to that track-listing you posted, if that's a studio version of "Boy/Girl," you basically do have U2-3 in that set. -------------------- I'd rather be a Commodore than the lower half of a Rear Admiral any day.

My first exposure to U2 was catching their initial appearance on Tomorrow Coast to Coast with Tom Snyder when they performed "I Will Follow." In all honestly, I was only peripherally aware of them until around '88. My buddy had a crush on my sister and made a cassette tape with the first three songs from The Joshua Tree on it... somehow the tape wound back up in my possession... they became my favorite band around '93 or so, thanks primarily to one of those Columbia House/BMG offers, and they've stayed in that spot ever since. I can actually remember where I was each time I learned a new album was coming out since the underrated Pop in '97. -------------------- I'd rather be a Commodore than the lower half of a Rear Admiral any day.
