So, I had my ultrasound, this morning. If I had known what it entailed... I would have had cause to dread the procedure! Have I mentioned that I'm ticklish?

Well, at least the technician was very nice. The lubricant gel was heated, not cold, though the entire hospital was chilly. Between that and nerves, I was shivering pretty powerfully. The tech was very kind and got me a couple of blankets, which proved she wasn't really a sadist. She wasn't what you'd call gentle with her sonic probe, and she had me hold a lot of deep breaths, and seemed to forget my need to breathe, a couple of times. But she was really sweet, and RhioTre had a nice chat with her while I was shivering and trying hard to hold my breath, despite the impulse to laugh out loud.

The tech wasn't at liberty to discuss my scans, but she said that she thought I'd live. Given her cheery demeanor, I don't think she saw anything alarming. I should hear something about the results by the end of the week.

Breakfast after the ultrasound was Boston Creme donuts from Dunkin, and a tall glass of milk. That was my reward for 13 hours fasting, and my ordeal.

Updates as I get 'em. Many thanks for all the well-wishes; keep 'em comin'! =^[.]^=

Thanks! And, um, the lubricant... That could definitely have some potential for alternate applications. =0[.]o=

At least there wasn't facehugger spawn in there or anything. Sadly, no DVD of my scans, so I dun get to see what the tech and RhioTre saw.

The warm gel actually felt good 'cause it WAS warm. Unfortunately, in a cool room, it tended to cool off pretty quick, too. But it sure felt nice going on... =^[.]^=
