Anybody watch this? I was a big fan initially, but it's starting to go blah, I think. Simon Baker rocks, though.

I do... and I concur... tho the re-appearance of Red John may be more interesting. Did some writers go on vacation? I did enjoy the play between the characters.

I'm not sure why he (Simon's Jane) got the lady cop a pony for her birthday... again, I may have fallen asleep during the play that made that connect. Still-- the process has been most enjoyable when Jane had to piece a thing together and we get to watch... the diamonds in the daughter's chandelier was my fav.

The finale was rather good, wasn't it?

Oh, come on... what girl doesn't want a pony?

It's an okay series, the Red John character is a bit overblown though.

--------------------
Female Cenobite: "Didn't open the box." And what was it last time, "Didn't know what the box was?" And yet, we do keep finding each other, don't we?
Pinhead: Oh, Kirsty. So eager to play, so reluctant to admit it.
Female Cenobite: Perhaps you're teasing us. Are you teasing us?

Pinhead: Two minutes. Two centuries. It all ticks by so quickly. You are so very like your ancestors, did you know that? I have the distinct sense of déjà vu. The same defiance, the same faithless hope in the light?
Dr Paul Merchant: And what do you have faith in?
Pinhead: Nothing. I am SO exquisitely empty.

How so? He's used too sparingly, in my opinion.

Not so much how many times they have used the character, as the genius serial killer that runs rings around the police.

Umm... I can remember three episodes with Red John. How is that overkill?

Not the number of times they have used the character Red John, but isn't the whole geniues serial killer theme getting a tad old now?

Well, when they actually use it in the show, instead of just imply it, I'll let you know if it feels passe. wink.gif

Well they've done more than imply it haven't they.

Wow, you go on about my comperhension skills.

I'll explain it simply then

In the episodes that have featured Red Jack we have found out he is a surveilence expert and computer hacker and mobile phone genius and he also never manages to leave any trace at any crime scene.

Actually, we've discovered that Red John employs various people to do a lot of things for him, so we've found out no such thing. Perhaps it is him, perhaps not.

And, sorry, but leaving a partner at a crime scene is a pretty big trace, don't you think?

I just think the serial killer as super crimminal is getting a bit tired.

I suppose we'll find out next season if there is any information recovered from his partner.

I enjoy the character interaction. My Pirate™ can't watch it due to Robin's eyes.
