Yeah... Saw this when we went to see Wolverine. Talk about flying under the radar; the preview this week was the first I had heard about this, and I keep my ear to the ground! =^[.]^=

Looks like a good film, although it bears a striking resemblence to Alien Nation except it is set in South Africa.

--------------------
Female Cenobite: "Didn't open the box." And what was it last time, "Didn't know what the box was?" And yet, we do keep finding each other, don't we?
Pinhead: Oh, Kirsty. So eager to play, so reluctant to admit it.
Female Cenobite: Perhaps you're teasing us. Are you teasing us?

Pinhead: Two minutes. Two centuries. It all ticks by so quickly. You are so very like your ancestors, did you know that? I have the distinct sense of déjà vu. The same defiance, the same faithless hope in the light?
Dr Paul Merchant: And what do you have faith in?
Pinhead: Nothing. I am SO exquisitely empty.

The wife and I thought so, too. In fact, we wondered, briefly, if we had stumbled into an Alien Nation remake or something, when we saw the preview. ='[.]'=

I thought it was the re-imagined, dark and gritty RDM type version of Alien Nation. With plenty of Goo. laugh.gif

Anyone else seen this film, its good.

The basic premise of the film is like Alien Nation, although the film is set 20 years after the aliens arrive and I have the feeling that this is what would actually happen if aliens ever came to Earth looking for help, also the fact that it is set in South Africa gives it a different feel.

I would recommend that you watch it, I won't give to much away as I don't want to spoil it for anyone else.

Not sure if this is a spoiler or not

But the film has the potential for a sequal, due to the ending

Saw it and enjoyed it a great deal. It's a bit anvilicious with it's theme, but is a great flick. The missus, who happily watches zombie flicks with me, found it a bit too squicky, but I'd enjoy watching it again, if only to look for more of the many, many details in the backgrounds. I'd give it a solid B+. =^[.]^=

There is the potential for a good sequal, as there were a few unanswered questions and a sequal would probably answer them.

Squicky: Icky on a level that really creeps you out.

Anvilicious: Using a theme/moral/what have you like dropping an anvil on the audience's head. If the story is good enough, you can get away with it. This one does. =^[.]^=
