Sucks. I actually watched The Golden Girls growing up. She was my least favorite at the time, but as the years went by I realized that she was the glue of that show (Golden Palace confirmed this in a very dramatic fashion).

I remember Bea Arthur from the old All in the Family spinoff, Maude. Guess that says something about how old I might be, huh? She was a cool lady. =-[.]-= -------------------- The enjoyment of any good thing is only enhanced by sharing it with others.

She was a cool lady. =-[.]-= I've watched reruns of Maude from time to time. I dug it. And I used to watch AitF on that Nick-at-Nite block back in the day. Speaking of AitF spin-offs... how many of those were there, anyway? That and Happy Days must hold the records for spin-offs. -------------------- I'd rather be a Commodore than the lower half of a Rear Admiral any day.

Trivia question for ya, Wolfe: What television series did Happy Days spin off of? =^[.]^= Laverne & Shirley and Joanie Loves Chachi are the two I can think off the top of my head, but I know there are more. Oh, yeah... Mork & Mindy. Hmm... I'm gonna have to google it, I guess. -------------------- I'd rather be a Commodore than the lower half of a Rear Admiral any day.

Trivia question for ya, Wolfe: What television series did Happy Days spin off of? =^[.]^= Oh, shit... I misread the question. I have no idea. -------------------- I'd rather be a Commodore than the lower half of a Rear Admiral any day.

Oh, shit... I misread the question. I have no idea. An episode of Love: American Style. TV was funny, in those days. A show could spawn an entire family of spinoffs. Now it's just re-imaginings. ='[.]'= -------------------- The enjoyment of any good thing is only enhanced by sharing it with others.

I've watched reruns of Maude from time to time. I dug it. And I used to watch AitF on that Nick-at-Nite block back in the day. Speaking of AitF spin-offs... how many of those were there, anyway? That and Happy Days must hold the records for spin-offs. All in The Family spun off Maude which spun off Good Times. It also spun off The Jeffersons which spun off a short-lived series called Checking In and a show called ER (not the famous ER but a sitcom of the same name which oddly enough also starred George Clooney. It also featured Mary McDonnell. Actually, I'm not technically sure if Er is considered a spinoff but one of the characters was said to be George Jefferson's niece and he did appear on the first episode or two..). There's also Archie Bunker's Place which some call a continuation of All In The Family and some call a spinoff... Then there was Gloria which was most definitely a spinoff. It featured Archie's daughter Gloria who had divorced the meathead... Finally, there was a show called 704 Hauser Street (I'm not sure i remembered the title correctly...) about the African-American family who had moved into Archie's old house. It featured Good Times's John Amos and an adult verison of Archie's grandson Joey was a supporting character. Geez, there really is a whole Bunkerverse, isn't there? Best wishes, Scott |
