In response to the not unreasonable question of how to load a picture in a signature, here's how to do it:

You first need to have the image hosted somewhere. If you don't, already, I suggest Photobucket, which is free and easy to use. You upload your image from your computer to Photobucket (or other host, such as Imageshack), then copy and paste the IMG Code Link Option into your signature box in your profile editor.

You can have multiple images or lines of text (including embedded links) in your sig. Just please try not to use anything too colossal! Other people need to post on a given page of a thread, too.

Ray,

I have a picture question, there's probably a simple answer but how do you shrink a picture in a post so that it dosen't distort the page. I've seen it on Sfi-Fi site where they'll have a picture and it's in a box with the words Image Reduced by X Amount (X being a percentage of the image reduction)

Thanks

RD

Okay, ya got me. I've never dealt with this. On Photobucket, at least, along the top of the page is a set of tabs, including Edit Images. That has a drop-down menu which includes Resize.

If you aren't using PB, or if that doesn't pan out for you, I'd recommend asking DarthMarley. He'd likely know what to do. =^[.]]^=

Ray, got the answer off Darth. It turns out that you add the picture as an attachment and it must reduce it automatically, I have an example in the "How Big Is Your Star" Thread.
