I have no problem with soap opera. It can be done well, and it can be done poorly. I *heart* you! On a totally different note, RD, by any chance do you read and comment at In Contention? It seems like a vaguely odd place to find you, but someone posted a comment there today going by Davidraider. -------------------- |

I *heart* you! Double back at you!!! Enough kissy-face, I have an "obtaining a book question". I have a book that I love to use for one of my classes, but is out-of-print at the publishers. (They are idiots.) Now my university bookstore is telling me, 6 weeks before next quarter that they can't find the book from any of their distributors. To re-do my class without this book would be a major prep when I'm already prepping another class next quarter. Do you have any suggestions for ways of obtaining this book? I only need 35 books max. I know the students can buy it online, but no one has 35 copies all in one place. -------------------- Honor is the gift you give yourself.

Besides Amazon, B&N, ebay, and some of the other auction sites, I can't tell you. -------------------- Accounting is all data entry and math... I can't think of a better job for robots. If the posts are witty and full of brilliant insight, then yeah thats me, if they aren't then of course it's not me how could you think that? Had a look at the site and it's dosen't look like the sort of site that visit with any regularity. -------------------- Female Cenobite: "Didn't open the box." And what was it last time, "Didn't know what the box was?" And yet, we do keep finding each other, don't we?
Pinhead: Oh, Kirsty. So eager to play, so reluctant to admit it. Female Cenobite: Perhaps you're teasing us. Are you teasing us? Pinhead: Two minutes. Two centuries. It all ticks by so quickly. You are so very like your ancestors, did you know that? I have the distinct sense of déjà vu. The same defiance, the same faithless hope in the light? Dr Paul Merchant: And what do you have faith in? Pinhead: Nothing. I am SO exquisitely empty. |
