OK this movie was all it was hyped up to be. It was so awesome that most of the crowd was clapping and cheering at the end of the movie. The action was awesome, it had a great storyline, and had some very funny parts to. Shia was hilarious. Oh and Megan Fox was mouthwatering hottttttttt!!!!

10 thumbs up

You are so right Brit, I was not impressed with Miami Vice though, but not because of shit blowing up. They just didn't have the whole package like Transformers did.

Miami Vice was Michael Mann. The derived series of films were Bay's Bad Boys and Bad Boys II from 1995 and 2003 respectively. I wonder if Michael Mann and Bay will team up for Miami Vice II?

So Dawn Hates Michael Bay and all Michael Bay fans...

and than we have reviews like this:

http://www.boston.com/movies/display?displ...mp;id=8294'

Even Dear Old Roger Erbert gave it a B... I'm not surprised he is often cluesless about cinema , I would be great on his TV show... I mean people would watch to see me mock his fat twinkie eating ass...

Don't worry Michael Mann and Bay are sure to do a film together. Since this film is exactly the same as every other film Michael Bay has done in his career I cannot figure out how all of sudden all of the critics that mocked his films the Rock and Bad Boys or the Island are now falling over him like he's the the second coming of the Block Buster? I find it interesting really considered how after the Island Michael Bay was considered Persona Non Grata in Hollywood by many critics for wasting to major Film Stars in a Second Rate B movie with a ripped off plot.

Personally I loved Bad Boys and thought the Island was pretty cool.

Many loved Bad Boys, but the Island took a beating in the box office and than in the courts when the producers and writers of Clonus sued Dreamworks and it appeared that Bay had actually put a fork in Dreamworks for good.... Not that Spielbergs two lack luster films in the Sci-Fi Genre with Cruise didn't help matters Minor Report and War Of the Worlds... They even attempted to sell studio after the Island Diaster it appeared that the only thing Bay would be directing in the future would be ads for Calvin Kline Products... However the curse seems to be lifted and the blockbuster is back in full swing. I hate to say this but much of the hype about Spielberg being attached is rather ironic he was attached to the failures of Minor Report , War of the Worlds and The Island so I'm really interested why the critics(I use that term loosely) seem to be so accepting of Transformers...

My brother says I should be a critic but he also says I might want to invest in two things before going into this line of work: Body Armor and Challenger MK I Tank... It might be good advice given my mouth...

Saw Transformers in Digital theater this weekend, and it ROCKED HARD!! It was totally more than I expected, even with Bay and co. Of course it's a summer action blockbuster, but it ws perhaps the best action film I've seen in many years. The CGI was practically seamless throughout, even the non-action scenes had humour and were interesting. It was a long movie, but def did not feel like it. Plus the babes... That fox is HOT and has her firm, tan tts half hanging out during most of the film.

I loved that they give you a little "intro action" at the start, just to get your juices flowing, and then start introducing the characters.

I talked with a few people this weekend who also saw it and the all LOVED it. I do recommend seeing it in digital if you can though. In fact, I really don't ever want to go to a regular theater anymore since I've been to a digital theater. It's fantastic for a moive like this though.

Transformers was good, but only as eye candy and for its simple plot. Typical government has alien in secret base in Neveda. Seemed a lot like ID4 except there was no area 51 in this one. For a summer Blockbuster it is good for what it was. I just don't see this one winning any Oscars, but than stanger things have happened. Diffently not one I will own when it comesout on DVD.One note I have to say I feel sorry for the little kids who went to the movie especting to get the cartoon, to instead get an action movie.

Can You Say "“Armageddon"... This movie has the same plot structure as every other Michael Bay film.

Michael Bay should really think of using this song in his next movie.... Sort of homage to his early success.

COme on guys, this movie may have had a simple plot like ID4 and Arm.. But it succeeded both in every other way. NO, it won't earn a real academy award, but for FX or maybe a few others it has a solid chance. Plus, even if the plotline is similar to other movies (lots of other movies) they did it well. It was funny, and they kept the movie moving along even between the fantastic action sequences. Stop being such film snobs for a few minutes and enjoy a little robotic destruction!

It was classic! Classic example of a summer blockbuster action film! But, IMHO, this was one of the best ever. Maybe it won't be classic like, say Terminator, but funny, sexy, and stuffed full of hardcore giant robot action! Fox is hot, even with the stupid tattoos. I could have done without the "kids who know more about everything than the government experts", but at least the blonde was also hot with an accent.
